Steve's New Venture

It finally has happened - Steve got focused into creating a new business venture. He has hired a coach and she is guiding him to put his business together. He is so excited and I wish him well with all my heart. It will be a good thing, he will thrive and feel gratified. It will change things again in our life, but I feel it is for the better. I always am open for change, I find new adventures thrilling. So, let's go on the ride! Let's have fun and make money! Abundance is flowing and we are allowing!

Hawaii Trip

Had to cancel our trip and it was with a little sadness. I love the ocean and I saw myself walking on the soft sand listening to the sound of the waves. It is metaphysical for me, I find a way to go within myself and find peace and serenity. But it wasn't meant to be at this time, my knee not allowing me the long airplane ride and most likely these cherished walks on the beach would never have happened. The good thing is, though, that it is only postponed and so there is something to look forward to. This found week became busier than I had planned but very rewarding. So no complaints, just pure gratefulness for all the blessings. And, just for a reminder, I'll post a photo of our last Hawaii trip - let's dream and make it a reality!

Obama's Speech Last Night

It was a remarkable speech given in a most difficult environment and dealing with extremely complicated issues. I was impressed by the strength and the complexity of his approach addressing the economy, the housing market, health care, education, veterans, the war, etc. It takes a lot of courage and faith to go boldly forward and to be a leader under the present circumstances. Not only has America to deal with all its domestic issues, but also with the global impact of any decision taken. The responsibility is great, but there is really only one choice. We have to believe in us, in what we stand for and in what we can achieve. Nothing will stop us if we keep that vision. And we will find the strength and the means to make it a reality.

Francophiles in Saddlebrooke

We had another very pleasant evening "Dinner a la Maison" with delicious food, exquisite wines and wonderful company. What a great way to meet new friends! We truly enjoy the Francophiles and their activities. There is always something going on and we are so glad having joined them. Being from Europe and having lived in French culture for 14 years, it brings back fond memories. Steve and I have lived in Paris for a year and it always is wonderful for us to get back into the French way of life - great food, great wine and great friends!

Our Sweetie "Mignonne"

Our little Mignonne is such a big part of our lives that I want to introduce her. She is a teacup Yorkie, weighs around 3 1/2 lbs and is a bundle of love and joy. I cannot believe she is already 8 1/2 years old. Time flew and it seems like yesterday when I had her in my arms and brought her home. She is an amazing little creature, the best companion and traveler. She has followed 3 other sisters, all little Yorkies and looking at her I see them all! I feel so blessed to live with such a special spirit!

Why do I blog?

I am not sure at this time where this blog will lead to but I hope and wish that it will be a way to share interesting facts and opinions. So, let's enjoy the journey! I am ready, are you?

"Listening, not imitation, may be the sincerest form of flattery"
by Dr. Joyce Brothers

How interesting and how true. When someone listens to us, we feel respected, approved of and accepted. So why do we not do it more often? Why do we always feel we have to talk, to tell people what to do and how we feel about them and about what they are trying to tell us? Is it our ego which always gets into our way of true communication? I believe it is, I believe it is based in our insecurities and self doubts. Let's give it a try! Let's listen, and listen with our hearts and souls.
